Engineering Technology Degree programs Engineering Careers

GENERAL TOUR SET-UP

The students will break into 4 groups. Each group will have hands on working session of about 40 minutes in each of the following four Engineering labs. Every 40 minutes the groups will move and have sessions into different labs, to experience the diverse majors In Engineering.

Demonstration and Exploration sessions

 9:00-9:40 AM

     1) Civil Engineering Technology:               Room C211: This session will explore the use of                    Computer Aided Drafting (CAD)

        9:45-10:25 AM

     2) Electrical Engineering Technology:       Rooms C202: Explore elements of PLCs and Electrical Systems

      10:30-11:10 AM

     3) Electronic Engineering Technology:     Rooms C205: Explore elements of Digital Electronics and have a hands-on soldering project per small group.

     11:15-11:55 AM

    4) Mechanical Engineering Technology:   Room B119: Explore elements of Mechanical Engineering.

     Noon – 12:30 PM                                           Lunch; Cafeteria

     12:30 PM                                                        Departure; C Building entrance lobby

   1:00-4:00 PM (Optional) the College will be hosting some Technical competitions sponsored

     by CJEC, as an Engineer’s week event. The interested students may stay in the afternoon

     and participate.
